Child Support and “debtors prisons”

No Gravatar

This noteworthy situation was brought to us by Ian Lutz.

Support laws need to be changed, as fathers who can not afford to pay their obligations from time to time due to unemployment, disability. ect… are thrown into “debtors prisons” and denied equal protections and equal rights as defined by the constitution of the United States.

Drug dealers get easier consequences in the courts and receive “due-process” why do non-custodial parents not receive “due-process”?????????

About The Author

My name is James (Jim) DeLelys. I have been involved in the Child Support System for nearly 16 years. Over those years I have acquainted myself with countless individuals who have had to bear the burden of a terribly broken and corrupt sytem. It is through 'listening' that I have come to the enevitable conclusion that Child Support Laws and Government interference can not be tolerated anymore.

I too live in Arkansas and the OCSE is a joke. They treat you like a child predator and not someone who is just unable to pay a bill.

It’s time to get more fathers rights. The system is corrupt and child support is just a business making money for the Jails.

33 year old male who love his kids with all my heart ,made alot of mistakes in my past which wount allow me to be able to obtain employment in alot of fields..just wanna be able to take care of my kids..

  4. Reform is needed in Arkansas! I have been unemployed for a year now. Arkansas suspended my drivers license before a hearing was held and is making me sign a court order agreeing to pay an amount I cannot afford just to get my license back so I can look for work in a state that has high unemployment. No regard to the Arkansas law that says that a “fair and equitable” settlement must be reached.

  5. This is an American Shame

  7. I live in california my ex wife live in seattle with my boys. I fly them back and forth 10 times per year for visitation.

I was just served with papers when i flew to seattle to pick up my boys. I am being charged with contempt of court in seattle even though my child support case is here in california and they have been directly deducting 25% of my unemployment check

I have been harrased to the point I cant take it anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
