Dear Elizabeth,

I agree that both parents should be involved; but not with the Government!

We are told by the Government that Child Support keeps people off Welfare. What a Lie!

Everyone on Welfare is staying on Welfare. They are receiving full Welfare Benifits and a full Child Support Payment - minus what the Agency skims off. Matter of fact, collecting Welfare makes Child Support mandatory. All these ‘billions’ of dollars without no accountability. I, like many others are told, “It is none of your business what the money is used for.” None of our business at the parental level or at the Governmental level? Is this America?

Govenment for the people….

What is (let us say) $.01 X $ 1 billion dollars???

Where does it go??? Child Support Clerks??? What about the outrageous excess, where does that inconceivable amount of money go???

It sounds great, “Fight for the Children.” But not with Government involvement. The majority of non-custodial parents support their children, until Governmnet gets involved and enforces ridiculous payments… then enforces things like frozen check cashing privledges, emptying bank acounts, taking tax refunds, suspending licenses, (how are you supposed to drive to work on that one? Lawmakers forcing you to break the Law?), then there is imprisonment, denial of passports, denial of paternity tests, using birth certificates to determine paternity, threatening to take personal property… I could go on and on.

What sounds great and what is reality, are night and day.

This system is about lining pockets! “WHOSE POCKETS’ Now that is a Question!
