i have been dealing with Nebraska’s child support for almost ten years now. I’m also in the military and have been for the same amount of time. One of the main issues i face is that child support robs me blind. I have absolutely no problem with supporting my children when i am supporting them. Not giving their mother her own spending money. I came to the realization that i pay almost half of my base pay( before you figure in taxes). this is because Nebraska figures in a service members none taxable income which is given to support the service member not his dependants. due to the fact that i am single i do not receive the allowance for housing with benefits amount. Also when i was a private Nebraska figured in the value of the barracks i lived in, unbelievable. I have been slowly drowning since they upped my child support 100%. Why, do my kids need 1,170 dollars a month. Due to this amount my kids should be the best dressed in their school yet whenever i see them they are in ripped up old clothes. Now, she is not on the system she is married and her husband makes almost 18,000 more a year than i do. she is a manager at a retail chain. so, where is the justification. i work to get ahead and everytime i get above water and start living comfortably again they raise my money and put me back under. i feel they need to start figuring in what the child actually needs, not what they feel they should give her because of the money i make. i have a good salary because i strive to better myself. it seems i work hard to make more to give her more

Please take a moment and SIGN for Child Support Reform. You do not have to be directly involved in the Child Support System to Sign this Petition. Yet, we are all apart of the System; if someones’ U.S. Constitutional Rights are being violated, you are being violated. How much more Government interference are you able to put up with? Presently, the Children are always the losers; relationships are being ruined, thousands go to jail and thousands commit suicide each year! PLEASE USE THE COMMENT FORM TO SIGN LOCATED AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE; Thank You!
